Too Smart for Grandma

My mother inlaw is a really nice person, very young at heart and still playful. She lives far away, so my daughter doesn’t get to see her very often. One time, when she came to visit, she decided to spend the day playing with my daughter. I don’t know exactly what happened, but my daughter must have probably gotten tired of the game they were playing, and didn’t know how to tell grandma that she had had enough of that game. So, she lay a cunning plan…
I knew something wasn’t quite right when she all of a sudden turned up in the kitchen without grandma. When I asked where grandma was, she just shrugged her shoulders and said she didn’t know. So, I went to her room to see what had happened to grandma.
My daughter had a tiny little playtent in her room, and somehow, she had gotten grandma to crawl into the tent head first. And as soon as grandma was in the tent, she took off and left her there! Oh, boy!
Grandma eventually managed to wriggle herself out of the tent, and I had to have a talk with my daughter about how we can use words to communicate how we feel about things. No need to lure grandma into her tent and leave her there just to stop the game. But, I must admit, it was a very creative solution…
