Animal testing
By mati. Filed in Uncategorized |Do you know that there are thousands of companies out there that still do animal testing to determine the safety of cosmetics products? I heard of one company who agreed to have her product line tested on animals. She had the idea that some bunny would get a bath using her shampoo and conditioner, but this was far from the truth!
When she discovered that they put her products into the eyes of the bunnies instead, and they were screaming in pain, it shocked her so much that she started telling her story to warn others. The truth is that animal testing is cruel and barbaric!!! How can people be so heartless? And, what is wrong with letting people try the products instead? People aren’t going to try your shampoo or moisturizer in their eyes. They’ll try it on the skin, and if there is burning or pain, they can simply stop using the product and let the company know. Why hurt innocent animals? Hurting animals is sick!
If you love animals as much as I do, you must do something to stop this horrible practice, and there are actually a few things we can do to try to make a difference:
1) Stop buying products that are tested on animals. To find out if a company does animal testing, go to Skin Deep’s cosmetics database and search for the products you are interested in, and it will tell you if the company tests on animals, as well as how many harmful ingredients it contains. CLICK HERE to go to the database.
2) Sign the pledge against animal testing at peta2.org.
3) Forward this pledge to as many of your friends as possible so they can sign it, too. Together we can make a difference!
If you are a sensitive soul, don’t watch the movie on Peta’s site – it is simply too disturbing. Just sign the pledge and spread the word. And, remember, either you are part of the problem, or you are part of the solution. We must BE THE CHANGE we want!
